
Papirbredden Innovasjon - the Secretariat of the ECWT - in collaboration with T-Soft Ltd. were as a result of a succesfull tender competition and with the support of the European Commission’s DG Information Society and Media between 20 February 2009 and 20 October 2010 responsible for delivering the European Directory of Women and ICT.
The European Directory developed as a new ecospace for stakeholders interested in measurably and significantly increasing the number of girls and women in the knowledge based economy and in implementing the Digital Agenda of the European Commission.
1056 key actors (public, private, academia, NGOs, networks, clusters, projects and individual users) registered from 27 countries during the test-period and the platform attracted more than 3 million visitors in 2010. When the project ended the contracting parties started negotiations around the future of the platform.
The European Centre for Women and Technology and T-Soft Engineering Ltd. are proud to announce that according to the decision of the European Commission (INFSO/C1ANP/vm D(2010), A/Ares (2011) 1047444) the IPR of the European Directory has been transferred to them the 5th of October 2011.
The new owners of the platform would hereby like to underline that "The work leading to these results has received funding from the European Union under the public procurement Contract nr: 30-CE-0202684/00-63."
ECWT and T-Soft are now working on developing new services based on the EUD platform.
