The European Commission's DG Enterprise and Industry supports also in 2012 the organization of the European e-Skills Week between 26 and 30 March 2012 under the leadership of DIGITALEUROPE and European Schoolnet. e-Skills week 2012 is a grass roots campaign focused on showing people how to get jobs and e-skills for life in the Digital Age.

Industry partners - including leading ICT companies such as Nokia, Microsoft, Cisco, Intel and numerous SMEs across Europe - in partnership with education bodies, public authorities and NGOs will deliver a large and diverse programme of events and activities in more than 30 European countries.

Activities under e-skills Week 2012 are being organized between 1 December 2011 and 30 April 2012.

The final conference will be organized the 30 March 2012 in Copenhagen at Experimentum.

The European Centre for Women and Technology and its Italian National Point of Contact functions as subcontractor to EUN as the co-ordinator of the e-skills Week 2012 activities in Italy and coordinator of the Cluster Region 4 - France, Italy, Portugal and Spain. ECWT N-PoCs join e-skills activities in several other EU Member States.
