Compete for the 'Active Ageing the IT Learning' European Alliance Award
26/09/11 12:12 PM

For the second year in a row and for the first time in partnership with Adecco, the European Alliance on Skills for Employability (EASE) is organizing the Skills for Employability Awards, which will be awarded at the “European Employment Forum” in Brussels on 22 November.

The Awards will provide the opportunity to celebrate outstanding and effective uses of ICT training and skills development adapted by NGOs to raise employment prospects and improve digital and social inclusion of the young, the disabled, older workers and other unemployed or under-employed people throughout the European Union.

The original deadline for proposing candidates for the award was the 19th of September.

The “Youth” and “Women” categories have had great success. Unfortunately, the “Active ageing through IT Learning” category did not see enough applications.

Therefore, the deadline has been extended until Wednesday 28th of September.

Your submission should demonstrate tangible results in creating better job opportunities and working conditions for older people, OR helping them take an active role in family life and society, OR combating isolation and promoting learning exchange.

Winners will receive a distinctive trophy presented at the 2011 European Employment Week in November 22nd and a €5,000 cash prize.
