German Landscape Architecture Award 2007

Deutscher Landschaftsarchitektur-Preis 2007

The TuTech VISP-People are very proud that the HAFENSAFARI Team is among the five teams of the German Landscape Architecture Award 2007  who are among the "fünf Würdigungen":

HAFENSAFARI 1-4 – Entdeckungstouren zu temporären Installationen im Hamburger Hafen
Planung/Organisation: Hafensafari e.V. Hamburg mit Christiane  Bruckmann, Heike Lorenz, Christine Kahle, Rolf Kellner, Martin Kohler, Frank Sleegers, Ulrich Stief, Kristina Vagt.

The artists of the HAFENSAFARI work in different fields of art: fine arts, music, light, landscape architecture and architecture. The HAFENSAFARI is understood as a collaborative work of the HAFENSAFARI-team, the contributing artists and the visitors. Their aim is to make the place accessible and conceivable by the help of their art work created especially for this place and the time of the exhibition, which lasts for two weeks. After the end of the exhibition all artwork will be removed and the place will be left behind as the area of work and transformation it has been before. But also the perception of this place will be changed fundamentally.

And we think that the whole VISP Team remembers this project - during our Hamburg Meeting in 2005, we did the tour HAFENSAFARI 3

The Prize is organized by the The Federation of German Landscape Architects.  bdla is the professional association of Landscape Architects in Germany. It represents the technical and economic interests of its members in the public sphere and in politics. Among a wide range of topics the bdla works on legal issues and public relations, it is supposed to be a switchboard for landscape architects and offers vocational training for its members.
The acitivities cover the national as well as the international level. Regarding the European and the international debate about Landscape Architecture the bdla is acting as a member of European Foundation for Landscape Architects
EFLA and International Federation of Landscape Architects IFLA.
