Internet-usage among women in Germany increasing by 23% between 2001-2007 November 25, 2007 11:13 AM The 5th annual Internet-user analysis published in Germany 'Sonderauswertung Gender & Diversity des (N)ONLINER Atlas 2007 - Internetnutzung von Frauen und Männern in Deutsch land 2007'  shows further considerable increase in the number of girls and women with growing interest for getting involvement in the Knowledge Society. Based on a massive longterm campaign, the so-called D21 Initiative and a Public Private Partnership launched by the German Ministry for Education and Research and supported by Deutsche Telekom / T-Com, the magazine Brigitte and an NGO 'Frauen geben Technik neue Impulse' (Women Give New Impetus to Technology) Germany has managed to achieve considerable results and there are definetley signs of a major impact in regard to women's internet usage, women's enterpeneurship and workforce development.
