The European Women's Lobby, the largest coalition of women's non-governmental organization in the European Union, based in Brussels is seeking to appoint a

FULL TIME POLICY OFFICER  February 2008

The position involves previous professional experience in the area of equality between women and men and expertise of working at the European level.  More specifically, the successful candidate will have strong experience in relation to European policies on the areas of migration, asylum, and intercultural dialogue. She/ he will also have knowledge of the functioning of European institutions and experience in project management. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills and be fluent in either English and/or French. A detailed description of the post is attached.

 The process of selection is based upon completion of

  • a. a motivation letter
  • b. the complete Application Form that can be downloaded from the EWL site and
  • c. an updated Curriculum Vitae. Any incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applications should be returned to ewl@womenlobby.org  [Subject “Application for position of Policy Officer”] by  20th December 2007. Successful candidates will be contacted by 18th January for an interview to take place in Brussels.

EWL is a non-profit organisation and may not be able to reimburse travel expenses for interviews in full.
