Closure project Mosselbank
Photo : Valerie Lambertyn On the 11th of Octobre 2006, the City of Kortrijk organised an official moment to celebrate the end of project Mosselbank and the beginning of an independant volunteer association at the Mosselbank. The Mosselbank was an social appartment block with safety problems. The City of Kortrijk started some years ago a pilot project in empowerment of some volunteers to build cohesion in a friendly neighbourhood. The empowerment has been guided by Vormingplus, an adult education institute, who gave instructions about organising festivities, communication skills and so on... 8 volunteers will continue the work from now on and Vormingplus will edit its experiences in a handbook and share them with experts in the field.
