Since the beginning of November Mr. Gino Derveaux is a member of staff of the vzw Buurt en nabijheidsdiensten. He has been asked to organise sports in the neighbourhood of  the Vetex Poortgebouw. It is the result of what started with Viva Vetex as a Sportsshed. Socially deprived youngsters from the neighbourhood who don’t easily find their way into the official sports accommodations were attracted by a variety of sport disciplines.
It is an easily accessible social and sportive assistance. Still, the purpose is to guide the youngsters to the regular circuit after a while.
Sportschuur Vetex can also be very important for the OCMW Kortrijk , to function as a sort of an antenna to stimulate vulnerable groups of people to assist to sports activities. This is also a best practice of importance to the region.
